3M™ Scotchkote™ PNC 1011 is a novel one part, heat curable, thermosetting hybrid coating designed for the corrosion protection of field joints. The interpenetrating polymer networks of polylefins and epoxy has a synergistic effect yielding superior qualities than those of their single components. Because of PNC's high reactive chemistry it can be applied directly to a gelled or cured FBE coating. This innovative new system also has excellent adhesion to polypropylene, because of this there is no need for an adhesive in the PNC field joint system, therefore a weak link has been removed to create a more reliable coating.
