Highlights

University of Minnesota Advanced Pediatric Dentistry Clinic
The University of Minnesota School of Dentistry is building the most advanced hospital-based dental clinic for children in the Upper Midwest – and the 3M Foundation is taking part in the action. A leading $500,000 grant from the 3M Foundation will support an interprofessional pediatric dental clinic built to accommodate hospitalized children, out-patients, and children in the community without access to dental services. The clinic will serve as a unique education program for general and pediatric dentists, and will also offer clinical education experiences for pediatric medical residents. To be constructed adjacent to the new University of Minnesota Amplatz Children’s Hospital, this revolutionary clinic will have the capacity to address the oral health needs of children with complex medical, developmental and emotional conditions.
