Girl Scouts Celebrate 100 Years

Health & Human Services

As part of the Girl Scouts of the Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys Centennial celebration, 3M is sponsoring the Centennial Day of Service: 2012 Take Action Project on Saturday, October 13.  It is the largest environmental service project in River Valleys' history, and 36,000 girls are expected to participate along with 18,000 adult volunteers covering 49 counties.  Volunteers will be providing public space clean-up, residential education through door hangers, and storm drain marking.

3M funding also helps Girl Scouts with their STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education programming.
