Highlights
State History Day
3M provided product support for the 2013 Minnesota State History Day contest on May 4. Twenty-six St. Paul and Minneapolis schools were represented by 297 students. As the Minnesota Historical Society prepared its in-kind request of 3M, their staff surveyed teachers to see which products were most helpful to their students. Teacher comments:
"Double Stick Scotch Tape and Foam Mounting Tape are the Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie of adhesives. Always popular."
"This bag of supplies is exceptional and much needed. Students who don't have the funds to put together a spectacular project receive the support they need. Also, for students who continue to make it to each round of competition, the supplies make it less stressful for the revision process to take place!"

Smithsonian – Hirshhorn Museum
The Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, the Smithsonian Institution’s museum of modern and contemporary art, commissioned internationally renowned artist Barbara Kruger (American, b. Newark, New Jersey, 1945) to create an installation for one of the museum’s most visited public spaces. “Belief+Doubt” fills the lower level lobby and extends into the newly relocated museum bookstore. The entire space is wrapped in text-and-image-printed 3M Controltac™ Film, covering approximately 6,700 square feet of surface, including walls, floor and escalator sides. 3M donated the materials for this project.
