3M™ Beta Tape is an acrylic sealing and adhesion tape based on 3M™ Acrylic Foam Tape technology that has been used to attach exterior and interior automotive parts for more than twenty years. Available with either single or double coating, 3M beta tape has high initial adhesion, heat resistance and durability compared to tape sealers (such as conventional butyl tape) or caulking sealant sponges.
3M™ Foil Tapes are most likely used in heated/cooled seats to protect temperature sensitive surfaces and distribute thermal conductivity across a larger area.
