3M Austin Contributions Program Guidelines

3M makes grants to well-managed 501(c)(3) organizations located in 3M communities.

Requests should address specific community needs‚ solve root problems through innovative solutions‚ and fill gaps in the service delivery system.

Our program areas are:

• Education
• Arts and culture
• Community and civic
• Human services

Programs should serve disadvantaged or underserved populations.

In Austin‚ applications are by invitation only. Applications must be received before October 15 for inclusion in the following year’s budget.

We do maintain a contingency fund and consider smaller requests throughout the year.

In addition to cash grants‚ we will consider requests for in-kind gifts of 3M products‚ and we are happy to make our employees aware of volunteer opportunities.
