Scotch® Solvent Resistant Masking Tape 226 is a black polyethylene film reinforced with a saturated crepe paper for outdoor masking and hot air leveling of printed circuit boards. The polyethylene backing is resistant to many solvents, water solutions and emulsions and paint strippers of the wax-base type and the mild caustic solution solvent-emulsion type.
Saturated crepe paper layer reinforces tape to control stretch
Natural rubber adhesive for good instant adhesion
Resistant to many solvent and water based solutions
Clean removal properties on most opaque surfaces for up to three months of outdoor exposure
Scotch® Solvent Resistant Masking Tape 226 has excellent weathering properties up to three months on most surfaces. It features a natural rubber adhesive with quick stick, good holding power and clean removal to help reduce rework. Masking Tape 226 stands strong against weather and sunlight damage and is UV resistant for clean removal after three months of outdoor exposure. The polyethylene film backing, reinforced with saturated crepe paper, controls stretch and tear to help save time and provide excellent handling and performance.
Sealing and protection of metal, plastic and painted surfaces
Masking operations involving solvent and water based solutions in the aerospace industry
