Scotch® Recycled Corrugate Box Sealing Tape 3073 securely closes a wide variety of box materials, including troublesome fiberboard and recycled corrugated. Our team of experts developed a polypropylene backing that resists abrasion, moisture, chemicals, and scuffing – creating a tape that holds strong throughout the shipping process and easily conforms around edges and on rough surfaces.
High hold works especially well on challenging fiberboards and recycled corrugate
Provides consistent performance and resists nicks, abrasions, moisture and scuffing
Ten times stickier than conventional box sealing tapes
Built tough to resist score line breaking and center seam splitting
Our tape is ten times stickier than conventional box sealing tapes, so it will adhere to almost any packaging material. This tape securely seals boxes, cartons and regular slotted containers (RSC) weighing up to 100 lbs.
Super Sticky. Super Versatile.Scotch Recycled Corrugate Box Sealing Tape 3073 features a biaxially oriented polypropylene backing with pressure-sensitive hot melt rubber resin adhesive. It is 2.6 mils thick with adhesion of 46 oz/in, tensile strength of 30 lbs/in and elongation at break of 160%. Believing in environmental stewardship, we made this tape with an adhesive containing over 10% renewable content and recycled materials in the core to help with sustainability goals. Our tape complies with environmental considerations of ASTM D 1974-92.Let Us Help You Choose The Right TapeFrom our field research, we have seen the varied needs of professionals in the packaging and shipping business. That's why Scotch® Box Sealing Tapes are available in a variety of lengths, strengths and thicknesses. So how do you know which tape is right for you? First, note the content weight of your package. The heavier the package, the thicker the tape should be. Second, consider how the package is going to be shipped. If the package is travelling a long distance, or will be handled by many people, choose one with higher tensile strength and percent elongation, so the box stays closed even if dropped. Third, examine your shipping container. While general use tapes work well on popular single wall corrugated cardboard containers and regular slotted containers (RSC), more and more boxes have higher recycled content. This recycled corrugate content, as well as the use of double or triple walls, needs a tape with an adhesive designed specifically for this recycled content. Further, it needs a high adhesion to ensure the box sticks securely and stays sealed throughout the shipping chain.
