3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Low Odor Acrylic Adhesive 810 is our toughened two-part, room-temperature curing acrylic adhesive specially formulated to bond oily metals, plastics, and other surfaces. At 3M we pioneered the bonding of surfaces which have traditionally been seen as ‘hard-to-bond’, such as oily metal and low surface energy plastics like polyethylene and polypropylene.
Low odor adhesive is ideal for any setting where harsh fumes or flammability are an issue
Provides high shear and peel strength and is toughened for impact resistance
Bonds oily metals with minimal surface prep
Bonds most plastics Effective system for joining, gluing, adhering, attaching, repairing, potting, panel bonding, adhering, and structural bonding
This unique acrylic gives you the strong shear and peel strength along with ample impact resistance for durability to meet your demanding end-use applications. Making work safer, faster, and more efficient, that's just a few of the benefits of 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Low Odor Acrylic Adhesive 810. It bonds on a variety of substrates ranging from metals, ceramics, wood, and many plastics including nylon. The acrylic adhesive dries to a tan color and begins with high viscosity for controlled dispensing and minimal spread or drip. The mix ratio is 1:1 and provides a 10 minute work life to allow time to adjust fit prior to setting. The adhesive reaches handling strength in approximately 10 minutes and is fully cured in 8-24 hours (at 720F /220C). (Note, excess adhesive exposed to air around the bond lines may remain tacky up to 48 hrs.) 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Low Odor Acrylic Adhesive 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Low Odor Acrylic Adhesive 810 is approved under UL 746C, Polymeric Materials Use in Electrical Equipment. Both mixing nozzle and applicator are required for dispensing from the Duo-Pak cartridge and are sold separately. For best results, always use 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ EPX™ Plus II Applicator and Mixing Nozzles.
Easy Adhesion with Acrylic
Acrylic adhesives are two-part adhesives that provide excellent bond strength and durability, although slightly lower than epoxy adhesives in some situations. However, they have several features that make them easier to use, including a much faster cure speed, higher tolerance for oily or unprepared bonding surfaces and the ability to bond a wide variety of materials, including nearly all plastics. Newer acrylic adhesive formulations are room temperature stable with a long shelf life.
