We formulated 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive 1751 to provide a mastic consistency and high viscosity for accurate application, particularly for projects that require void-filling. The rigid bonds of our Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive 1751 provide excellent adhesion to materials such as metal, wood, reinforced plastic and masonry outdoor products. This 3M epoxy adhesive has a 3:2 mix ratio and cures at room temperature, reaching its handling strength in approximately 10 hours. Our Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive 1751 offers a 45-minute work-life. Understanding Epoxy Adhesives
Epoxy adhesives are part of the class of adhesives called "structural adhesives," which also includes polyurethane, acrylic, cyanoacrylate and others. Epoxies are formulated as liquid reactive polymers that undergo a chemical reaction when mixed and then cure to form a solid plastic material.
