3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Acrylic Adhesive 820 is a light yellow, two-part, 1:1 mix ratio, toughened acrylic structural adhesive. It exhibits excellent shear and peel strength, along with good impact durability, to bond well to many metals, ceramics, wood and most plastics, even with minimal surface preparation.
Excellent shear and peel strengths ensure a tough, durable and permanent bond
Fast build-up and 20 minute work life provides enough time for adjustments and positioning
Good impact resistance makes it an ideal choice for bonding applications where surfaces might experience movement and stress
Acrylic adhesive adheres to a wide selection of surfaces and substrates, including many metals, ceramics, wood and plastics
Medium viscosity formula remains where placed with minimal migration
Adhere with Minimal Surface Preparation
Our 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Acrylic Adhesive 820 is able to perform on the most difficult surfaces, even with minimal surface preparation. It offers excellent shear and peel strength, making it ideal for industrial applications where permanent, high-strength bonding of similar and dissimilar surfaces is a requirement. With a high impact resistance this adhesive will effectively bond many metals, ceramics, wood and most plastics. The medium viscosity formula remains where applied.

Two Parts, One Common Bond
The mix ratio for our 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Acrylic Adhesive 820 is 1:1 for quick, precise dispensing. With an applied open time of 15 minutes and a 20 minute work life there is some opportunity for positioning and adjustments after the adhesive is applied. This adhesive reaches handling strength in approximately 40 minutes and is fully cured in 48 hours (at 72°F/22°C).
Easy Adhesion with Acrylic
Acrylic adhesives are two-part adhesives that provide excellent bond strength and durability, although generally slightly lower than epoxy adhesives. However, they have several features that make them easier to use, including a much faster cure speed, higher tolerance for oily bonding surfaces and the ability to bond a wide variety of materials, including nearly all plastics. Newer acrylic adhesive formulations are room temperature stable with a long shelf life.
