X-ray
What film is compatible with our cassettes?
Any green-sensitive film will work in the 3M cassettes. To get optimum (guaranteed) quality, however, a 3M green light sensitive film should be used.
What is the Buy One-Get One program?
The Buy One-Get One program is a film purchase contract between a veterinary practice and 3M. When you purchase a cassette, you can get one cassette free (same size or smaller). This program requires a commitment to purchase 3M Veterinary X-ray Film for one year (minimum $1000.00).
Why am I not getting clear radiographs?
Incorrect light compatibility (X-ray film is not matched to the correct intensifying screens)
- If the cassettes are new, be sure the paper is removed from the cassettes.
- If processing manually, make sure the chemistry is fresh (within 4-6 weeks old) and stirred frequently.
- If using an automatic processor, make sure that it is serviced on a regular basis
- If the cassettes have been in service for over 10 years, consider replacing them.
- Lower grade film may appear grainy and lack detail. 3M film is a premium quality film that will produce radiographs with superior detail.
Which cassette is recommended for small animal use? Large animal use?
The type of cassette you choose should be based on your maximum machine settings:
3M™ Asymetrix™ Detail Screens:
- Small animal: Recommended for x-ray machines with >200mA capacity (tabletop and grid radiography)
- Equine: Recommended for use with a high-frequency portable x-ray machine

What is needed to use the Vinyl cassettes? Do I have to order the footplate?
A 3M Contact Tunnel is used with the vinyl cassettes to ensure appropriate film/screen contact. The Contact Tunnel is placed inside a 3M Footplate when the horse is required to stand on top of the cassette.
What are the Mylar blockers for? How do I put them in my cassettes?
For cassettes that do not have a window, Mylar blockers (lead "stickers") are used on the screens to prevent exposure to this portion of film. The patient identification is then exposed into this area of the film with the use of a photo-imprinter. The blockers are placed in the appropriate corners of each screen so that when closed, the blockers are superimposed on one another.
Does 3M make chemistry for automatic processors?
No, 3M produces manual chemistry only at this time.
What temperature is optimal for developing?
68o F is optimal for 5 minutes.
How long do I leave my radiograph in the fixer?
A radiograph is fixed for double the developing time (minimum of 10 minutes)
What is the shelf life of 3M Fixer and Developer?
Fixer expires 12 months from date of manufacturing and the developer expires 12 months from the date of manufacturing. Expiration dates are printed on each bottle.
PEEEYEW!! Why does my fixer smell like rotten eggs?
A foul odor is most likely due to biologic growth in the chemistry tanks. When the water and chemistry is emptied, clean the tanks well with a 1% solution of household bleach and water. Rinse thoroughly then refill the tanks.
How do I dispose of fixer/developer?
Disposal is determined by local authorities. Check with your local city ordinances on the disposal. As long as the silver is removed (by silver recovery equipment), most chemistry can be disposed of down a drain.
What does "replenisher" refer too?
Replenisher refers to a concentrated form of mixed chemistry. It is used bi-weekly to keep the chemistry levels full and to keep the potency level up.
If my chemistry freezes, can it still be used?
Yes, but thaw at room temperature. A precipitate may form and cause artifacts on film.

Vetrap tape is used for a number of bandaging applications
- Run down protection in race horses (Rundown injury, primarily a racing injury, is caused by the fetlock joint dropping so low that the skin is abraded ("burned") off the point of the fetlock joint as the horse runs. Vetrap tape is employed to provide mild support and as a "foundation" to attach the 3M Rundown Patch to
- General application of dressings - A great bandaging tape as long as adequate padding is employed so that the dressing & bandage do not interfere with circulation
- Tail wrap: Effective for wrapping tails - must be applied with care using minimal tension to avoid causing constriction.
- Hoof wrap - Makes a great hoof wrap for light duty applications - Use Equisport bandage for heavy duty applications such as where the horse is going to be turned out on pasture.
- Abrasion protection (& gripping tape) Makes a great general purpose tape to protect surfaces and improve grip. Examples include protecting human hands (industrial applications), wrapping tool handles & bits.
Vetrap tape has a number of advantages:
- Sticks to itself (cohesion) - not the hair coat
- Layers bond to each other making a unitized bandage to provide maximum support
- Breathable
- Lightweight
- Will not absorb moisture
- Economical - compared to adhesive tape
Are additional fasteners needed to properly hold the product on?
- Vetrap tape sticks very nicely to itself. The likelihood of end "flagging" is reduced by relaxing the last 6" and pressing it into the bandage.
- For racehorses, one or two bands of vinyl tape are often applied to the end of the tape to provide additional security.
- For other bandaging applications, a strip of adhesive tape can be used for additional security but Vetrap tape is often used without any additional taping.
How many rolls are in a box (case)?
18
Does Vetrap contain Latex?
Vetrap tape (& Equisport bandage) contains natural rubber latex. Individuals that that are allergic to natural rubber latex should not use Vetrap tape. Note: 3M Coban™ NL Bandaging Tape is available to anyone who requires a latex free product.
Does Vetrap tape impare circulation?
Vetrap tape can cause loss of circulation if not applied according to label instructions so that it is initially comfortable to the animal. Athletic support bandages must be removed immediately following the athletic activity. Bandages intended to hold a dressing in place must be applied over adequate padding.
Can Vetrap tape be used to bandage over an open wound?
Generally it is best to apply a dressing over open wounds prior to application of an overwrap of Vetrap tape. However, if application requires direct dressing on a wound, we recommend the use of white Vetrap tape.
CLEAR CUSTOM COLLARS
How do I get a good fit so the collar doesn't fall off?
The collar can be custom fit to each individual animal. Start by wrapping the collar snugly around the pet's neck for correct sizing; then position the closure system to ensure a snug fit. See application instructions found on each collar.
Why would my pet need a protective collar?
Protective collars are used often after surgery or injury to help protect the wound site so it can heal. They help prevent the pet from trying to chew out staples, sutures, or even lick medicines off the wound.
Once it is put on, can the collar be removed and reused?
Yes. The closure system makes it easy for clients to remove for pet feeding and reapply. There are no complicated tabs or straps.
NO STING BARRIER FILM

VETCAST™ PLUS VETERINARY CASTING TAPE
What is Vetcast Plus casting tape?
Vetcast Plus casting tape is a polyurethane resin impregnated fiberglass tape that has exceptional strength, superior conformability, is lightweight, porous and sets up very quickly. 3M has invested years of research into making our casting products top quality.
What is the procedure for using Vetcast Plus tape?
Please refer to the package insert for complete instructions (includes instructions on controlling set-up time for casts made with multiple rolls). Or call our customer service line (1-800-848-0829) for application instructions.
What activates the curing process and how long does it take to set up?
Exposure to air and moisture activates the product (which is why even a small hole in the foil pouch can cause the product to prematurely harden). Set up takes about 5 minutes with full weight bearing strength in 20 minutes.
What is the shelf life of the product?
Approximately 4 years. The expiration date is stamped on the edge of each package.
SCOTCHCAST™ SOFT CAST
What is the difference between Soft Cast tape and Vetcast Plus tape?
Use Vetcast tape when you need the traditional rigid support cast. The Soft Cast is used for non-rigid applications and is packaged in a foil pouch. Once the tape sets up, it retains its shape yet remains resilient to the touch.
What are some uses for which using Soft Cast would be beneficial?
Cruciate repair, pediatric fractures, ligament ruptures, soft tissue injuries, light support, or to stabilize minor fractures/dislocations.
Where is the best place to store casting materials?
Store in a cool, dry place. Avoid puncturing the pouch as this will cause the tape to set up prematurely.
PRIMACAST™ SPLINT
What is Primacast?
Primacast splint is multiple layers of non-fiberglass, resin-impregnated knitted fabric with moisturecurable resin. The splint is radiolucent, a key feature of the product.
How do you use it?
Primacast splint comes in a foil pouch and sets up the same way Vetcast Plus tape does (exposure to moisture and air). Before set-up, it can be trimmed with a bandage scissors to make a custom fit.
What are some uses for the splint?
It's ideal for a splint, post-surgical support, emergency immobilization and angular limb deformities in foals.
CUSTOM SUPPORT FOAM
What is it used for?
Custom Support Foam is mainly used as equine cast padding because it sets up and becomes a close fit with a regular cast yet maintains its resiliency. This product helps reduce cast sores in both rigid and semi-rigid casts. It is an open cell foam impregnated with a polyurethane resin.
Will it set up (cure)?
Yes, it sets up in about 5 minutes with exposure to moisture and air.
Other than cast padding, are there any other uses for Custom Support Foam?
Yes. Fanfolding the product makes it ideal for frog support for laminitis.

3M TWIST'N FILL SYSTEM
What is the Twist'n Fill system?
The 3M Twist'n Fill™ Chemical Management System has two primary components, a water powered mixing device and a series of 5 chemicals chosen to meet the needs of the veterinarian. The dispenser functions to accurately dilute the chemicals eliminating "glug glug" mixing, providing maximum economy. OSHA compliance and ease of use.
What are the benefits of the Twist'n Fill system over using regular bottled cleaners?
- The primary benefits of the Twist'n Fill system center on the dispenser which functions to accurately dilute the chemicals eliminating "glug glug" mixing, providing maximum economy. OSHA compliance and ease of use.
- Other benefits include top quality, professional grade chemicals selected for veterinary application, MSDS sheets for both the concentrates and the diluted solutions and OSHA compliant, labeled containers.
- Replacement of retail packaged chemicals with 3M concentrates saves money and storage space.
What are the best practices for using the 3M Twist'n Fill system?
- Install dispenser level & test water flow: (Using by-pass lever, turn water on and fill a gallon container. Proper flow = one gallon in 30-45 seconds)
- Always turn water full on & completely twist dispenser clockwise to ensure proper dilution: (Restricting water flow will over concentrate chemical.)
- Only use cold water: (3M Twist'n Fill™ Chemicals are formulated to work best in cold water. Hot water will decrease efficacy and potentially increase irritation & surface effects.)
- Always use sprayers adjusted to coarse spray: (Fine mists are potential bronchial irritants. Applying spray to cleaning cloth rather than to surfaces will further reduce likelihood of irritation.) (Flip top closures are an alternative to trigger sprayers - call (800) 848-0829.)
- Use chemicals sparingly: (Over application of chemicals increases the potential of streaking glass & stainless steel. Applying spray to cleaning cloth rather than to surfaces will further reduce likelihood of streaking.)
- Suggested switchover: Clean floors first with #3 Neutral Floor Cleaner to remove any chemical residue prior to applying either #5 Quat Disinfectant/Cleaner or #18 Phenolic Disinfectant/Cleaner. Clean stainless steel with either #3 Neutral Floor Cleaner or isopropyl alcohol to minimize streaking prior to applying either #5 Quat Disinfectant/Cleaner or #18 Phenolic Disinfectant/Cleaner
- High flow, Low flow: (Use (H)igh flow chemicals for mop & bucket - 3GPM. Use (L)ow flow chemicals for filling trigger sprayers - 1 GPM.) Note: Always use 2 gallon "buddy" jug as an intermediate container for trigger sprayer applications of 18H.
Where and how do I mount the system in my facility?
The ideal mounting location for the Twist'n Fill system is over a janitorial sink. In older clinics that do not have a janitorial sink, select a sink location that has good water flow and convenient location. Locating the unit over a sink will minimize drippage onto the floor.
- Installation tips
- The 3M Twist'N Fill System comes with the hardware to hook up to standard ¾" coarse thread such as used to connect garden hoses. Adapters are available from plumbing supply houses (or by calling the ACP Call Center [800] 848-0829) to connect to fine thread, aerator style faucets. An example of such an adapter is a Home Depot 2-95 hose thread adapter, part # 36115B. This is a 15/16-27 thread male by ¾" male hose connector.
- The dispenser must be mounted level and close enough to the water source to allow connection
- We recommend cleaning the wall surface with isopropyl alcohol to remove oils and provide maximum adhesion of the mounting tape. We also recommend the installation of a wall anchor in the center top hole.
- The water supply requirements are 4.0 gallons per minute flow rate minimum at a pressure of 25-100 PSI, with water temperature of 40-160o F. Note: 1. Typical home & commercial systems meet these requirements. 2. Use cold water only for best chemical performance and 3. Test system by opening by-pass valve and filling a gallon container in 30 to 45 seconds.
Will the chemicals flow back into my water supply?
No, the Twist'n Fill dispenser incorporates an integral air gap, which prevents back siphoning.
How do I know if I have a low water flow problem?
Using left-hand by-pass lever (silver lever) turn water on and fill a gallon container. Proper flow = one gallon in 30-45 seconds
What helpful accessories are available with my Twist'n Fill system?
- Silk screened spray bottles for the #1, #2, #5, #13 & #18 chemicals and a silk screened flip top bottle for the #4 Acid Bathroom Cleaner
- Separate bases are available, part # 70-0705-8847-3, to which the dispenser can be mounted. These bases allow re-location of the dispenser.
- 2.5 gallon "Buddy Jug" for dispensing the #18H (high flow) Phenolic Disinfectant/Cleaner into spray bottles. Note: the #18 Phenolic Disinfectant/Cleaner is a high foaming product and only the 18L (low flow) should be dispensed directly into trigger sprayers.
- Wire racks to conveniently store the chemicals adjacent to the dispenser
If my chemical freezes, can I still use it?
- If the product has been frozen or has been suspected of being frozen, please call the ACP Call Center (800) 848-0829.
Do the chemicals meet OSHA regulations?
Labeling on the chemical containers and the silk screened trigger sprayers along with the MSDS sheets for both the concentrate & diluted chemicals meet OSHA regulations.
How does 3M Glass cleaner compare to Windex?
3M Glass Cleaner performance is comparable to Windex for non-streaking, grease removal and it can be used on cold windows. Note: Use sparingly and apply to cleaning cloth to reduce streaking.
What type of surfaces can I use the Heavy Duty Multi-surface cleaner on?
Used to clean heavily soiled walls, floors, equipment, and other washable hard or soft surfaces including spots and stains on carpet and upholstery.
What is the difference between Quat disinfectant and Phenolic disinfectant?
Both the #5 Quat Disinfectant/Cleaner and the Phenolic Disinfectant/Cleaner are broad spectrum disinfectants effective against gram positive, gram negative, fungi and selected viruses. The #18 Phenolic Disinfectant/Cleaner is also effective against Parvo virus as well as a number of other organisms of veterinary significance. The #5 Quat Disinfectant/Cleaner is often selected as the everyday disinfectant of choice with the #18 Phenolic Disinfectant Cleaner being reserved for suspected Parvo virus cases.
How long does the Phenolic or Quat need to be on the floor to be effective?
Both the #18 Phenolic Disinfectant/Cleaner & the #5 Quat Disinfectant Cleaner are residual disinfectants which are intended to be used without rinsing. To achieve maximum disinfection, if rinsing is employed, the disinfectants should be left on the surface for 10 minutes and then rinsed.
What can I do to reduce residue build up from the Phenolic and Quat disinfectants on my floor?
3M's recommendation is a rotational program using the #3 Neutral Floor Cleaner with either the #5 Quat Disinfectant Cleaner or the #18 Phenolic Disinfectant Cleaner. By utilizing the #3 Neutral Floor Cleaner, the floor finish life will be maximized. Continuous use of either the #5 or #18 disinfectant cleaners will result in build up of a sticky residue on the floor. Recommended rotation is: 5 days of Disinfectant/Cleaner followed by one day of Neutral Floor Cleaner. 3M Cornerstone Floor Finish is recommended as a durable floor finish to use with 3M TNF chemicals. Note: Always start the switchover to the 3M system by first cleaning the floor with the #3 Neutral Cleaner to remove any existing residuals that could interact with the 3M disinfectants.
Is there any product that has a Canine parvovirus claim?
Yes the #18 Phenolic Cleaner Disinfectant has a Parvo virus claim.
Which chemical(s) is effective against Bordetella Bronchiseptica (kennel cough)?
Although we do not have organism specific data, the broad spectrum disinfectant capabilities of the #5 and #18 claim will allow them to be effective against this bacteria on surfaces.
Will the Fresh Scent deodorizer harm my floors?
The #13 Fresh Scent Deodorizer is intended to be sprayed into the air and not directly onto surfaces. Residue from spraying will not harm typical surface finishes.

3M™ LAURICARE™ MOISTURIZING TEAT DIP CONCENTRATE
What are the active ingredients in the Lauricare teat dips?
The active ingredient in the 3M-teat dip is Lauricidin™ (Glycerol Monolaurate) plus synergists. This system has broad-spectrum activity and is effective against both gram positive and gram negative bacteria. Lauricare dip is also effective against fungi and yeast. In-vitro (laboratory) testing of Lauricare has shown it to be effective against lipid coated viruses and Mycoplasma. The Lauricare dip also contains a three part moisturizing system that includes a skin emollient, a humectant, and a skin plasticizer. This moisturizing system is the best available on the market today.
What makes it better than the other many of the other dips on the market?
Biologically, Lauricare dip is equivalent to other dips teat dips that have been documented by the NMC protocols, (B or C). All dips successfully documented by NMC protocol are considered to be effective in preventing new intra-mammary infections. There are three important factors to remember:
- Not all dips have been documented by the NMC protocols.
- Protocol B & C data demonstrates the ability of the teat dip to reduce new intra-mammary infections.
- Lauricare dip is on the NMC published list of effective teat dips.
In addition to biocidal efficacy, teat skin condition is an important factor in the incidence of mastitis. Teats that are chapped or cracked provide an opportunity for colonization with mastitis causing bacteria. Selecting a teat dip with good moisturizing properties is important. . The Lauricare dip contains a three part moisturizing system that includes a skin emollient, a humectant, and a skin plasticizer. This moisturizing system is the best available on the market today.
All of the components in Lauricare dip are approved for use in the manufacture of food. The use of food grade components is an important consideration if using the teat dip as a pre-dip.
Has the dip been tested by NMC Protocol?
Independent university trials following the National Mastitis Council protocols (A, B & C) have been conducted to document the efficacy of the 3M teat dips. These protocols include both in vitro (in the lab) and in vivo (on the cow) studies. Additionally, large scale end user field trials have been conducted. In addition, standard toxicity trials as well as independent laboratory trials have been run to document the safety of the 3M teat dips.
How fast is the kill rate when using the Lauricare dip?
Laboratory tests have shown Lauricare dip to be greater than 99.99% effective in less than 2 minutes against against common mastitis pathogens in the presence of up to 10% organic bioburden (milk).
Will it irritate teat skin?
A standard battery of irritation and toxicity tests indicates that the Lauricare dip is not primary skin irritant or a toxicant. Irritation studies on cows have shown the Lauricare dip to not only be non-irritating, but also have positive conditioning effects on the skin. Additionally, all of the components of Lauricare are GRAS (generally recognized as safe) listed or have food additive clearance. GRAS listed components may be used in foods.
How much does it cost comparatively?
Lauricare Plus moisturizing teat dip is just a few cents more per ready-to-use gallon of teat dip. Ask your 3M-mastitis products salesperson for information on the teat dips.
Why is it orange?
Getting good teat skin coverage is an important consideration of effective teat dipping our field trials the bright orange color was easy to see, a particularly important factor in the management of today's large herds.
How much will I use in a year if I have 100 cows in my herd?
The average dairy producer will use approximately 1.5 gallons predip/per cow/per year. The average postdip usage is approximately 1 gallon per cow/per year.
Can it be used for pre-dipping and post-dipping?
Lauricare and Lauricare Plus Moisturizing teat dip are labeled for both pre and post applications. All of the components in Lauricare dip are approved for use in the manufacture of food. The use of food grade components along with good soil removal characteristics are an important considerations if using the teat dip as a pre-dip.
Why should I consider predipping?
Although post-dipping with efficacious teat dips can reduce the incidence of new IMI caused by contagious pathogens; post dipping doesn't reduce the rate of new IMI infections caused by environmental pathogens. There is substantial data supporting the practice of prepping the cows with an efficacious germicide prior to milking. Field trials have shown that a good pre-dipping technique, such as the Minnesota One Step Prep, coupled with an efficacious pre-dip can reduces the incidence of clinical mastitis by as much as 50% in herds with low levels of contagious mastitis.
What sizes is the dip available in?
Lauricare and Lauricare Plus teat dips are shipped in the concentrate form in 4.5 gallon and 15 gallon sizes. The concentrate is diluted with 3 parts water to 1 part concentrate. The 4.5 gallon pail makes 18 gallons of ready-to-use (RTU) teat dip. The 15 gallon drum makes 60 gallons of RTU teat dip.
Is it compatible with other dips and teat wash?
The Lauricare dip is compatible with iodine based products, however, Lauricare teat dip is not compatible with chlorhexidine based products. DO NOT EMPLOY AT THE SAME TIME OR IN EQUIPMENT PREVIOUSLY USED WITH A CHLOROHEXIDINE CONTAINING PRODUCT. THIS INCLUDES USING A CHLOROHEXIDINE UDDER WASH AND THE LAURICARE DIP AS A PRE OR POST DIP.
The Lauricare dip is not compatible with bleach. There have been several inquiries from dairymen who have been using Clorox® or similar bleaches as part of their dipping program and would like to continue to use bleach as an udderwash in combination with Lauricare dip as a pre or post dip. We cannot recommend this for two reasons:
- Not all bleaches are created equally and depending on the stabilizer employed may be irritating to the teat skin.
- The alkaline nature of the bleach and the acidic nature of the Lauricare dip make them chemically incompatible.
For spray systems, especially those in which chlorhexidine products were previously used, we recommend the following steps prior to using the Lauricare dip:
- Thoroughly rinse the system to remove dip residue
- Wash with an alkaline detergent
- Triple rinse
Lauricare teat dip is delivered to my dairy in a concentrate form, how do I mix it?
To mix a gallon of ready-to-use Lauricare teat dip at a time, use a clean mixing container such as distilled or deionized water bottle. Do not use a chemical container that previously contained dips/sanitizers, cleansers, caustic chemicals or irritating materials. Add 1 part dip concentrate to the mixing container, then add 3 parts of potable (approved for drinking) water. Mix by inverting the container several times. It is important to measure both the water and teat dip concentrate accurately (1 part concentrate, 3 parts water).
All larger containers (18 & 60 gallon sizes) of Lauricare teat dip concentrate should be mixed using the 3M Mixing Wand. Make sure that the mixing wand reaches the bottom of the appropriated sized 3M Mixing Drum. Run potable water through the mixing wand at full line pressure (30PSI & 2 GPM) and fill to top fill mark of 3M Mixing Drum.
What happens if I don't mix it properly?
While Lauricare dip is very soluble in water. Failing to mix it according to directions will likely result in concentrated dip at the bottom of the mixing drum and colored water at the top. Lauricare dip is easy to mix utilizing the 3M Mixing Equipment and following the label directions - if the Lauricare teat dip concentrates is mixed per the label directions and using a 3M Mixing Drum and 3M Mixing Wand for the mixing process, it is almost foolproof. Since the concentrate is a 4:1 mix, the 4.5 gallon pail of concentrate makes 18 gallons RTU, the 15-gallon drum of concentrate makes 60 gallons RTU. We only recommend the use of 3M Mixing Drums. Using old drums/containers can lead to possible mis-mixing or to contamination with chemical residuals.
Does 3M have mixing equipment available?
All 3M Mastitis Products Distributor have available the #1433E 3M mixing drums and #1433MW 3M Mixing Wands to ensure a perfectly mixed ready-to-use Lauricare teat dip. The mixing drums are sized at 18 gallons (4.5 gal concentrate) and 60 gallons (15 gal concentrate) to accommodate the pail and drum sizes of the Lauricare dips. The concentrates are mixed 3 parts water to 1 part of concentrate.
How long is the diluted dip good for?
Once diluted, the Lauricare dip is good for 90 days.
What happens if my dip is frozen? (concentrate and/or RTU dip)
Freezing does not effect Lauricare teat dip in the concentrate form. If frozen, the Lauricare teat dip concentrate should be completely thawed prior to using. Agitation prior to mixing will help ensure a uniform product.
Freezing of diluted Lauricare teat dip causes it to irreversibly separate. If frozen the diluted dip must be discarded. Store Ready-to-Use (diluted) teat dip where it will not freeze.
Does my water quality affect efficacy?
The bacterial kill-rate for Lauricare teat dip was not affected when diluted with waters of varying degrees of hardness. Tested under Standard Methods for Water Testing protocols, the dip had full efficacy when mixed with very hard water up to 400 grains of hardness and in the presence of 10% bioburden. (Very hard water is defined 280-320 mg/l of CaCO3).
As with any concentrated germicide or disinfectant, the water used to mix the concentrate must be potable, or fit for human consumption. Non-potable water with high levels of bacteria will tie up the biocidal components of Lauricare dip reducing or eliminating its biocidal activity.
I don't like the "medicine" type smell. Do I have another option?
Lauricare dip has a distinctive fatty acid smell. Most people get used to it very quickly. We recommend that Lauricare dip, like all chemicals, only be used in an area such as a milking parlor or barn, which can be actively or passively ventilated to allow free exchange of inside and outside air. Recently, 3M introduced Lauricare Plus Moisturizing Teat Dip Concentrate which contains a fresh, food-grade citrus scent plus the same potent germicide, Lauricidin™ with the same 3 part moisturizing system that regular Lauricare teat dip is known for.
