Classification and Grouping

• 3M™ APC Grouper Plus Software – Makes it possible to group diagnosis and procedure codes, apply prescribed edits, and calculate reimbursement according to complex outpatient prospective payment system (OPPS) regulations, resulting in more accurate, complete, and consistent Medicare coding and billing.
• 3M™ APR DRG Software – Evaluates the interactions of multiple co-morbidities, age, procedures, and principal diagnosis and adjusts the data to reflect severity of illness and risk of mortality, allowing comparison of performance outcomes among different patient types.
• 3M™ Enhanced APG System – Refines and expands the APG system to reflect current clinical, coding, and billing practices, and to describe a broader, non-Medicare population.
• 3M™ Coding Compliance Editor (CCE) – Assigns claim records to Diagnosis Related Groups (DRGs) and/or Medicare Severity DRGs (MS-DRGs), evaluates the accuracy and completeness of clinical data, identifies potential coding errors, and calculates estimated reimbursement.

• 3M™ Codefinder™ Computer-Assisted Edition - Streamlines the coding process, allowing coders to quickly access, view, annotate, code and validate inpatient medical records. Uniquely integrates with 3M™ Coding and Reimbursement System.
• 3M™ Coding and Reimbursement System – Helps coders evaluate and apply coding and grouping rules to individual patient records. Contains the following component systems:

• 3M™ Coding Reference Software and 3M™ Coding Reference Plus Software – Provide electronic access to reference materials used by coders during the coding process, resulting in more efficient and effective coding and quicker reimbursement.
• 3M™ Reimbursement Calculation Software – Estimates complete and accurate reimbursement formulas for Medicare inpatient, Medicare Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC), New York All-Payer, Texas Medicaid, Ohio Medicaid, and CHAMPUS.
