3M™ Novec™ Aerosol Cleaners
3M™ Novec™ Aerosols are a revolutionary line of nonflammable spray cleaning solvents that combine effective cleaning performance with a wide margin of workplace safety and a favorable environmental profile.

Based on a proprietary 3M solvent technology, Novec aerosol cleaners are low in toxicity, non ozone-depleting and contain no HCFCs, HFCs, nPB or Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAPs). Novec aerosol cleaners are non-corrosive and compatible with nearly all materials used in electronics manufacturing. They are available in five formulations for use in a wide range of maintenance, rework and repair operations.

    • 3M™ Novec™ Contact Cleaner

    3M™ Novec™ Contact Cleaner effectively removes light oils, greases, silicones, dust and particulates from sensitive electrical and electronic equipment. It is compatible with plastics, is non-flammable, and is ideal for use on energized components. It is non-ozone depleting and contains no HCFCs, HFCs, nPB or HAPs. Meets MIL-PRF 29608A Class C specifications for electrical component cleaning compounds.

    3M™ Novec™ Contact Cleaner Plus

    New 3M™ Novec™ Contact Cleaner Plus is formulated with extra cleaning power to remove stubborn oils, greases and silicones, as well as fluorinated oils and greases, dust and particulates, from sensitive electrical and electronic equipment – including connectors, printed circuit boards, electro-mechanical devices, scales, relays and circuit breakers. It is compatible with plastics.

    3M™ Novec™ Contact Cleaner/Lubricant

    Non-flammable, non-conductive aerosol cleaner and lubricant designed for critical electrical cleaning challenges. Designed to help make the workplace safer; comply with green initiatives; and cut electrical cleaning challenges down to size. Quickly penetrates and flushes away light oils and greases from sensitive electrical and electronic equipment including: avionics, electro-mechanical devices, electrical contacts, connectors and switches. Effectively removes fluorinated oils and greases. It also leaves a thin protective silicone coating help prevent excessive wear and abrasion. Supports U.S. DOD initiatives to procure environmentally preferable products. Meets MIL-PRF 29608A Class L specifications for electrical contact cleaning and lubricating compounds.

    3M™ Novec™ Electronic Degreaser

    3M™ Novec™ Electronic Degreaser is a strong nonflammable cleaner ideal for removal of heavy oils, greases and handling soils from internal components of electronic equipment, precision devices and other electromechanical or sensitive devices.

    3M™ Novec™ Flux Remover

    3M™ Novec™ Flux Remover is a strong, nonflammable cleaner ideal for removal of a wide variety of solder fluxes used in electronic manufacturing and repair – including rosin-based and many no-clean and lead-free fluxes.
