3M Security Solutions use either electromagnetic strips or RFID tags that, if not desensitized, sound an alert or notify staff if a customer is attempting to leave with an item that has not been checked out. Both types of systems are reliable and effective, and will detect unauthorized removal of materials at the entrance/exit to your library.
