New 3M Film and Overlaminate Will Revolutionize Extreme Vehicle Wrapping

3M™ Controltac™ Graphic Film IJ380 and 3M™ Scotchcal™ Gloss Overlaminate 8580 are designed specifically as a solution for extreme wraps.

3M says the film‚ which utilizes new technology‚ is highly conformable and has virtually no memory once applied. It effectively solves the most difficult problem in the successful wrapping of deep channels and concaved areas — lifting.

“With our new film‚ it’s not the adhesive‚” said Tim Boxeth‚ marketing supervisor‚ 3M Graphics Market Center. “The characteristics of the film itself make it possible to conform and adhere—without the use of adhesive promoters or relief cuts—to challenging concave or channeled surfaces without lifting.”
