3M Announces the Addition of White Ink to 3M Ink Series 2200UV and 2700UV

St. Paul, MN (April 11, 2007) — 3M announces the addition of white ink to 3M™ Piezo Inkjet Ink Series 2200UV and 3M™ Piezo InkJet Ink Series 2700UV.

The addition of white ink gives Graphics Manufacturers the ability to create a white background on clear and colored media. Typical applications include; printing white as a spot color, under printing white areas, filling white areas or details, producing clean backgrounds on colored media and creating more contrast in images.

3M™ Piezo Inkjet Ink Series 2200UV is designed and approved for use with the VUTEk® PressVu® 200 printer. Ink Series 2700UV is optimized and approved for use with the Durst Rho-160R printer. These UV-cured inks make vibrant graphics, are durable, weather resistant and have excellent color retention. Their flexibility makes them suitable for graphics used on curved, corrugated or flat surfaces, with or without rivets.

Both ink series 2200UV and 2700UV are backed by the 3M™ MCS™ Warranty. Finished graphics may be warranted for up to five years.
