Tools and materials

• 3M™ Super 77™ Multipurpose Adhesive
• Ten 2" x 4" boards and eight 1" x 6" boards for frame (length depends on finished size you want)
• Plywood for top: 1/2" or 3/4" thick (overall size depends on finished size you want)
• Hammer and nails
• Indoor/outdoor carpeting
• Golf cup (available at golf stores) or 2" PVC pipe, cut to fit
• Scroll saw

How-to

1. Use the wood to build a frame for the overall structure. For the putting green, nail four 2" x 4" boards together into a rectangle, and use a fifth one on the diagonal for stability. Do the same for the hole area. Nail both rectangles together in a “T” as shown.
2. Nail 1" x 6" boards around the outside of structure to create an edge or lip. Paint or finish wood (if desired).
3. Determine placement of hole. Trace the golf cup onto the plywood; use 4" hole saw to cut the circle.
4. Nail plywood to top of frame.
5. Make sure plywood and backside of indoor/outdoor carpet are free from dirt and dust.
6. Place indoor/outdoor carpet on plywood. Mark the location of the hole on the carpet.
7. Protect surfaces from overspray with newspaper, plastic or craft paper.
8. Follow directions on can and work in a well-ventilated area. Spray plywood surface and back of carpet with 3M™ Super 77™ Multipurpose Adhesive.
9. Wait 30 seconds and press the carpet down on the plywood to secure it, starting at the center and rolling to the edges. When the carpet is in place, cut out the hole with a utility knife.
10. Trim any excess carpet from the edges with a utility knife.
11. Go get your putter!
