Old suitcase
Yardstick or measuring tape
Scissors
Utility knife
Pencil
Fabric
1/4" Foam core
How-to
Brush or vacuum any dirt or loose debris from the suitcase. Wipe clean with damp, soft cloth and let dry.
Clean and polish outside of suitcase.
Measure inside sections of suitcase. Cut foam core to fit.
Cut fabric to fit the foam core with about 1" excess.
Protect surfaces from overspray with newspaper, plastic or craft paper.
Follow directions on can and work in a well-ventilated area. Spray foam core and fabric with 3M™ Super 77™ Multipurpose Adhesive.
Wait 30 seconds and cover foam core with fabric. Start in the center and smooth out to sides. Wrap excess fabric around to the back.
Mask off areas of suitcase to be sprayed. Spray fabric-covered foam core, then appropriate areas of the suitcase.
Wait 30 seconds and press foam core into place.
