• 3M™ Super 77™ Multipurpose Adhesive
• Heavyweight canvas fabric for backing
• Pencil
• Yardstick or tape measure
• Scissors
• Tightly woven and brightly colored fabric pieces; decorative trim
• Double stick tape

How-to

1. Decide on the size of the overall piece, adding about four inches all the way around the canvas backing to allow for hemming.
2. Draw finished size on the back of canvas with pencil. This will give you the exact size of the finished piece and show you where to hem.
3. Fold along pencil lines and press with iron to create a hem. Where fabric overlaps at corners, snip fabric diagonally to create a smooth hem.
4. Protect surfaces from overspray with newspaper, plastic or craft paper.
5. Follow directions on can and work in a well-ventilated area. Spray back of hem with 3M™ Super 77™ Multipurpose Adhesive.
6. Wait 30 seconds and press into place.
7. Cut chosen fabric into various shapes. (Placemats can be used in the background.) Turn in rough edges of each piece 1/4" to form a hem; press each piece with iron.
8. Begin filling in design with colored pieces. Use double stick tape for temporary placement.
9. Starting with the bottom layer of fabric, spray back of fabric piece with 3M™ Super 77™ Multipurpose Adhesive. After 30 seconds, press in place. To ensure a strong bond with the decorative trim, a hot melt adhesive may provide easier application.
10. Repeat step 9 until all pieces are in place.
11. Use several strips of fabric to make loops for hanging. Simply cut to size desired, form a loop, and spray with 3M™ Super 77™ Multipurpose Adhesive to attach to the canvas. For additional stability use a hot melt adhesive to hold loops in place.
12. Place curtain rod through loops and hang. Your friends will want to know who the artist is!
