Rated 2 out of 5 by Second pair of earmuffs failed. Purchased first pair of earmuffs and used them intermentently for almost a year. Headband broke as I was trying to put them on. Thought that was a fluke so I replaced them with the same product. The earmuffs are very comfortable and I wanted to avoid the hassle of using the foam squeeze earplugs. Unfortunately, the headband of second pair also broke. I would not spend the money on this product. October 12, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by 2nd pair where headband broke I bought these for blocking environmental noise while studying in library, reading on train, etc. They work very well in that regard, are very comfortable, and the foldup feature makes them very compact for keeping in a backpack. However, the plastic headband cracked after about 6 months of normal use on the first pair (i.e. there are now two separate pieces and unusable). The second pair has developed a crack on the inside of the headband after about 5 months, and is going to break any day now. Again, these are not subjected to any abnormal use and are kept in the same backpack as a laptop - so no extreme temperatures, etc.3M needs to improve this otherwise good product by reinforcing the headband, or using a stronger, more resilient material. Rated 1 out of 5 by Another broken headband Same here, I have two pairs of the blue hearing protectors. Both had headbands that broke. They are nonrepairable and unusable. I bought them because of respect for the 3m brand. June 21, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by blocks noise--poor construction Looking for the quality I thought was included with 3-M products.Less than one year occasional use--headband snapped. Our adult ed woodshop uses lower cost products from a tool importer which last longer with harder daily use.Low-bid offshore quality not worthy of 3-M label. Rated 2 out of 5 by 3M Tekk folding earmuff 23 DB I had the same experience as one of the other reviewers. I bought them for my grandson to wear and the 4th time they broke right in half. November 25, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Weak head band I used the ear protection at the end of last season and found them comfortable and effective at muffling the noise of a leaf blower. However my wife put them on this spring and they snapped in half. Poorly designed. April 20, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Plastic headband breaks too easily. Don't waste your money. Plastic headband broke. Poor decision to use plastic for this purpose.Purchased because 3M brand, expected quality, wasn't . Better products available. Buy USA. August 30, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Junk (times 2) I bought my first pair and was pleased with the blockage of sound. After one year the head band broke. I figured that my kids must have messed with it.I bought a second pair, protected them, and a year later the headband broke. It is a lot of money for being only short term. Save your money and buy something else. July 27, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Head band breaks The breaking of the head band also happened to the folding ear protectors with the yellow cups. A flaw in your product line. July 15, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Band breaks easily Bought several pairs of these at the local Lo*es Store for our business. The headbands on all pairs broke within a week or two--just while putting them on. They are a waste of money, very poor product. March 26, 2012
