In large scale bottled water facilities, taste and odor reduction is typically accomplished by large scale carbon treatment systems. In smaller facilities, or in point-of-use applications at low flow rates (<50 GMP), activated carbon cartridge filters installed in a filter housing can be a more convenient alternative.
