Air and Gas Filtration
Filtration of air and gas used in brewing.
Air or other gasses coming in contact with beer should be sterile filtered to help prevent secondary contamination. This is of particular concern for beer that is non-pasteurized. Microporous membrane filters made with hydrophilic membrane materials such as PTFE, are an excellent choice for their durability and high flow rates compared to other polymers.
Brewers with non-critical applications, where only particulate control is required, can select filters made with pleated, non-woven polypropylene fibers for high air flow applications, or depth style filters for lower air flow applications such as keg air drying.
