Filtration of Water used in Distilled Spirits
Filters that help to control particulate and microorganisms in water used in distilled spirit production.
Water can be used in a variety of applications in the distillery, including tank and equipment washing and rinsing, as well as flushing, warm water regenerating, or hot water sanitizing lenticular style depth filters in the process, or filters on the bottling line.
For general applications, water should be free of residual chlorine and particulate. However, water used to rinse, regenerate or sanitize filters in the clarification process itself often benefits from additional, submicronic filtration to prevent small particles and microorganisms present in the water from prematurely fouling the these filters.
