Final Filters for Microorganisms in Soft Drinks
Filters that help control microorganisms prior to bottling.
Some soft drinks, particularly those that are "low acid", are not pasteurized or hot filled, and do not use preservatives, can benefit from a final filtration step just prior to bottling that helps remove any spoilage microorganisms in the beverage. In conjunction with good plant hygiene, aseptic practices and microbiological testing, filtration can help to reduce unwanted microbiological contamination.
