The Elipar™ FreeLight 2 LED curing light from 3M ESPE is the latest advancement in LED curing technology. Ideal for composites, compomers, adhesives and light-cured glass ionomer materials, this next-generation, high-intensity universal light polymerization device is now built for speed.

Speed + Performance = Everything you’re looking for in an advanced curing light.

Faster cure saves time. The Elipar FreeLight 2 curing light features an innovative, high-power light emitting diode (LED) with a light intensity of approximately 1,000 mW/cm(2), enabling curing of compatible materials 50% faster than manufacturers’ recommended cure times.


In vitro Polymerization-related Temperature Development. Curing time is half that of a standard light or equal to Optilux™ 501 in boost mode.

Depth of Polymerization. There is a 50% reduction in the manufacturers’ cure times with the Elipar™ FreeLight 2 LED Curing Light.

Minimal heat buildup. Compared to conventional halogen curing lights, there’s no bulb and no fan—resulting in minimal heat and silent operation. The curing light’s unique heat-sink technology cools the LED.

Variable cure times of 5, 10, 15 and 20 seconds to meet your procedural needs. Plus, an audible signal alerts the user to the operational and charging status.

Effective performance you can rely on. The LED-generated light matches the absorption spectrum of the most frequently used photoinitiator systems, making the Elipar FreeLight 2 curing light compatible with a wide range of light-cured dental materials.

Additionally, a built-in microprocessor ensures constant LED light output and reliable polymerization results with considerably less power.


Emission Spectrum and Camphorquinone* Compatibility. The emission spectrum of Elipar™ FreeLight 2 LED curing light more closely matches camphorquinone’s absorption spectrum.

*Camphorquinone, or CPQ, is a photoinitiator that is used in approximately 90 percent of all dental materials.

Innovative design and angulated light guides for easy, comfortable use. The Elipar FreeLight 2 curing light’s advanced design makes it sleek and easy to maneuver, offering a clear view of the field of activity and enhanced patient comfort. The angulated light guides revolve 360 degrees, enabling you to access hard-to-reach areas of the mouth.

Lightweight and cordless for easy portability, allowing you to take it from room to room. Charger = 555g (1.2 lb) / Handpiece = 220g (0.5 lb)

Easy cleaning for excellent hygiene. The absence of a cooling fan and, therefore, ventilation slits, makes the unit quick and easy to clean.
