Greater elasticity
RelyX Fiber Post has elasticity similar to dentin than do metal and ceramic posts – so there’s a lower risk of root fracture due to the "wedge effect."

There is no risk of corrosion that can occur with metal posts. RelyX Fiber Post offers greater fatigue resistance than competing brands of fiber posts.

The Fatigue Test proves it!
RelyX Fiber Post shows excellent fatigue resistance — the test was stopped after 5 million cycles with no RelyX fiber post failures. [Source: 3M internal data and preliminary results of external in vitro study (M. Ferrari, University of Siena, Italy)]

RelyX Unicem cement gives you confidence that your permanent restorations will stay permanent.
RelyX Unicem cement offers proven optimal bonding strength with less prep work. With RelyX Unicem cement, there is no need to etch, prime or bond. Its proven performance is backed by more than 60 studies and third-party endorsements.

When you choose RelyX Unicem cement to cement the RelyX fiber post, you also eliminate the need to prime or silanize the post itself.

RelyX™ Unicem Aplicap™ Elongation Tip makes cementation faster, easier and more reliable.
End the frustration and uncertainty often experienced when cement posts when you use the RelyX Unicem Aplicap™ Elongation Tip. This specialized application tip is designed to reach into the root canal. Because you can fill the root canal from bottom to top, you reduce the chance of cement voids that can compromise bond strength.

These SEM images of a simulated root canal show the difference.

These SEM images show a cross-section and side view of a simulated root canal that was filled with RelyX Unicem cement using the new Elongation Tip.

The image above shows a simulated root canal where resin cement was applied using a common method of putting the cement directly onto the post before placement. Voids are visible as dark spots in both the cross-section and side view, potentially compromising the strength of the bond.
