Lava™ DVS Digital Veneering System

 

A Faster Path to Beauty

The new Lava™ Digital Veneering System begins with the full contour design. The glass ceramic porcelain and the zirconia coping are then milled, and the final restoration is created by simply fusing the materials with Lava DVS Fusion Porcelain. The restoration can also be characterized with the system's stains, shades and glaze.

Final restorations produced with the system are more esthetic than pressed ceramics because they are made with three precisely controlled layers—the zirconia coping, the fusion porcelain and the glass ceramic material—all with different shades and translucencies.

Design
Start by designing a full contour restoration.The software automatically cuts back the full contour to produce an anatomically-shaped coping. This provides an ideal foundation to properly support porcelain work.

Milling
The zirconia coping is produced with a Lava Milling Machine. To produce the porcelain work, a Lava DVS glass ceramic block must be milled with the Lava CNC 500 Milling machine.

Fusion
The materials are simply fused together with Lava DVS Fusion Porcelain. The step requires minimal training and can be done by the milling center or by their dental lab customers.

Finishing
To characterize the restoration, the Lava DVS material set also includes stains, shades and glaze.

Milling Materials

Glass ceramic Lava DVS Blocks are available in four enamel shades and two sizes. This glass ceramic material is milled on Lava Milling Machines to create the digital veneering for a Lava Zirconia Crown.
