Managing your own servers is expensive, that's why standard 3M Network Edition software runs from ours. If you do prefer to host yourself, we also offer three levels of externally-hosted server capabilities giving you greater network control and independence when using 3M Network Edition software:
3M Digital Signage - Content Server software
Looking to reduce content upload times or keep content inside your firewall? Then Content Server Software is your solution. Instead of uploading content files to the 3M server for passing on to your networked players, with Content Server installed all media files upload directly to your in-house server. Players download content directly from your Content Server.
3M Digital Signage - Site Server software
To optimise bandwidth for sites running multiple players, Site Server Software provides a consolidated communications channel between your 3M Network Edition server (whether 3M-hosted or customer-hosted) and players within the site. Because all player communication is via the Site Server, only one internet connection is required at each location. Content files are downloaded once to the Site Server for local distribution to players.

Your digital signage network players receive their instructions, schedules and content from the Full Server Ð inside your firewall or whatever network you choose.
