Capacitive Touch Sensing
Although there are many ways to sense touch, capacitive touch screen technologies, such as 3M Touch Systems' ClearTek™ II, are the most popular choice today, offering fast and accurate touch performance, physical durability, excellent light transmission, advanced anti-glare properties and high reliability

MicroTouch™ ClearTek™ II Capacitive Touch Screens
Known for innovative technology and products, 3M has built upon decades of capacitive technology experience to create the MicroTouch™ ClearTek™ II Touch Screen.

Based on a complete re-engineering of the 3M-patented Profile design, the ClearTek™ II Touch Screen offers optimised optics, facilitates display integration

ClearTek™ II touch screens, combined with the solid foundation of MicroTouch™ EX II electronics and robust MicroTouch™ software offer high endurance solutions for a multitude of touch applications where exceptional performance, vibrant optics and environmental robustness is mission critical, 24/7.

MicroTouch™ Tough Touch™ & Privacy Touch™
ClearTek™ Touch Screen Options
With a layer of tempered glass laminated to a ClearTek capacitive sensor the Tough Touch touch screens solution provides dramatic impact resistance making it ideal for unattended and high threat environments. Other options on ClearTek products include Privacy Touch touch screens, with a 3M light control filter that allows for independent viewing by the user.

MicroTouch™ EXII simplifying touch interface design
Touch screen controller hardware and software is another key component that determines ease of use, deployment and upgrading. 3M's capacitive screen overlays use the EX II controller series, facilitating the migration towards larger screens, from cathode ray tubes to flat-panel displays, and even between different touch technologies. These controllers are available with a USB or RS-232 interface.
