Paediatric and Neonatal Electrodes
3M™ Red Dot ™ Electrodes provide practical solutions for monitoring paediatric, neonate and premature babies. The Red Dot 2258 electrode, with soft cloth backing, is suitable for neonatal and special intensive care baby units, as it is gentle to the most sensitive and fragile skin, with an adapted size to enable easy positioning on infants. The Red Dot 2282E and Red Dot 2269T electrodes are high performance products with hypoallergenic conductive adhesive making them suitable for premature babies, infants and children.

3M has a range of electrodes for medical monitoring in operating theatres and surgeries.
Short Term Monitoring 3M™ Red Dot ™ Electrodes
For fast and precise defibrillation, 3M electrodes have fluid resistant backings, making them ideal for use in theatre. The 3M™ Red Dot ™ 2237 Electrode with foam backing has high initial adhesion immediately after placement and the Red Dot electrode is also impermeable to fluids.
Emergency Monitoring Electrodes
For emergency monitoring, the 3M™ 2223 Monitoring Electrode is recommended, being fluid resistant, easy to use and providing a reliable trace. The 3M™ 2224 Electrode with foam backing has a conductive carbon-loaded plastic adapter which will connect easily to a 4mm banana plug from an ECG writer, allowing short term monitoring and diagnostic ECG due to its small size.
Defib-Pads for Defibrillation
For quick and easy defibrillation, 3M™ Defib-pads are porous and easy to remove and replace if multiple defibrillation is required without leaving a slippery residue.

3M Life Signal Solutions is a range of electrodes offered for long term monitoring and specific test purposes, designed to suit all skin types from young, old and even highly sensitive patients. For long term monitoring on difficult patient contours, the 3M™ Red Dot ™ 2238 Electrode with soft cloth backing is suitable, allowing secure adhesion due to a combination of a very low profile and a conformable backing material. The 3M™ Red Dot ™ 2330 Electrode is specially designed for diagnostic monitoring due to excellent trace quality, even on challenging skin sites and rapid trace recovery after defibrillation due to the silver/silver chloride backing. Multi-purpose monitoring needs including stress tests and holter monitoring and can be fulfilled by 3M™ Red Dot ™ 2560 and 2570 Electrodes, which can be worn for 5 days and have a radiolucent stud.

3M Patient Plates
Our range of Electrosurgical Patient Plates offers effective performance in surgical diathermy procedures. Both 8100 Series and 9100 Series Plates include a strong yet gentle adhesive ensuring excellent skin-to-plate contact and are easy to remove, minimising skin trauma. 3M Patient Plates are compatible with most major brands of generator - our patient plates are available in both solid and split plate formats. Corded versions of the patient plates are available in the 9100 series, and cables and adaptors are also available from our Patient Plate Accessories.
