Step by step toward successful treatments

Through orthodontic treatment, your children can have the misalignment of their teeth and jaws corrected. Here we clarify what steps lead to a perfect smile.

Treatment concept

Follow-up appointments

Indispensable for treatment success: regular follow-up appointments

Now your involvement is key! For your child's orthodontic treatment to conclude with straight teeth and a happy smile, your active cooperation is required. This means helping your child keep regular follow-up appointments with the orthodontist in addition to upkeeping optimum dental hygiene.

During these appointments, progress and success are documented and, if need be, the archwires of the fixed braces are changed. The change is especially fast with self-ligating braces with clip mechanisms because the orthodontist has no rubber bands to replace.

What will happen if my child misses appointments?

If intervals between appointments are too long, the braces may over-correct the teeth. In the worst case it can even exacerbate your child's tooth misalignment.
