Step by step to a successful outcome.

Misalignments of the teeth and jaws can be corrected in the long-term through orthodontic treatment. Here we tell you what steps underlie a perfect smile.

Treatment concept

End of treatment & Aftercare

Happy ending - only with the correct aftercare!

Not only youngsters who wear braces long for the day on which their therapy ends and their braces and bands are finally removed. What many people aren't aware of: Treatment still isn't over when braces are removed!

Aftercare: as important as active treatment

To ensure that straight teeth do not remigrate to their former position, a protracted stabilization phase follows the active therapy. The tooth's new position is maintained by so-called retainers until the risk of its remigration can be ruled out. Unlike the braces, the retainer does not exert any active forces on your teeth, but only stabilizes them in their new position.

Allow us to present: the retainer

Retainers are removable or fixed and worn daily. Retainers vary, for example, they are available as positioners, deep drawing splints or as lingual retainers fixed to teeth. Your orthodontist will be pleased to explain which retainer best suits your aftercare.
