3M Telecommunications made an impact at annual FTTH conference in Europe
Standing Apart from the Competition
The FTTH Council Europe held its annual conference on Feb. 11 and 12 in Copenhagen, Denmark. 3M attended this important industry event -- and 3M marketers made sure everyone noticed.
3M Telecommunications was one of 71 exhibitors. For the event, the Europe team developed a new design concept in order to set 3M apart visually. Following the CMD Europe/Middle East/Africa colour palette, new brochures and new portable stand elements were introduced. The wall panels – which mimicked a brochure – provided an overview of 3M’s product portfolio for FTTx. The booth’s eye-catching colour – lilac – helped 3M stand out in the crowd.
"The visual impact of the booth helped us draw in potential customers," says Leonardo Pace, business development manager, CMD EMEA. "Once they were there, we were able to talk to them about 3M’s many solutions for fibre to the home."
3M Telecommunications collected more than 70 high-quality leads from across Europe. Due to the location of the conference, nearly 50 percent of the leads came from Scandinavia.
The event took place in the Bella Centre, Scandinavia's largest exhibition centre, and attracted nearly 2,200 industry professionals, including service providers, investors, policymakers, equipment manufacturers and other key industry stakeholders.
Within the theme of "Building a Sustainable Future" – chosen to reflect the environmental benefits of fibre broadband technology and the compelling advantages of fibre investment – the conference covered major industry topics, including local/regional regulation, market development, and new business models and technology architecture approaches drawn from Europe and around the world.
The exhibitors' hall provided hands-on experience of the latest technologies and solutions as well as the opportunity to network and share experiences with other industry experts, vendors, telecom operators, policy makers, media and analysts.
