Cat5e Components
As part of the 3M Cat5e copper cabling range 3M supplies Cat5e jacks, panels and patch chords, faceplates and sockets.
With its compact size, integral shutter, keystone mounting format and tool-less termination, Cat5e Jacks from 3M ensures a smart, reliable installation. All 8 copper conductors are effortlessly terminated in one simple operation resulting in reliable interconnection in record time. If a wiring mistake is made the Cat5e Jack can be reused several times. The Cat5e jacks are available in UTP, FTP and STP and the UTP jacks are available in 6 colours.
A wide range of easy to assemble face plates and sockets are available including 25x50mm and LJ6 in angular, flat, and bevelled varieties.
Cat5e Patch Panels have been designed around our tried and tested modular format. The unloaded 19” patch panels give a precise and stylish presentation of the Cat 5e Jacks in either black or brushed aluminium. The jacks have an integral dust cover providing a fully shuttered patch panel presentation. The jack design prevents interference between the jacks. A punch down patch panel option is available for UTP systems.
Cat5e Patch Cords are used for the links between the patch panels and the active elements or for connection of the terminal equipment to the wall socket. The cables are available in various lengths and UTP or SSTP (LSOH & PVC).
