1. How is life for a rider at Team3M?

Michael Vingerling It is unfortunate that in the beginning of the season some nice classics in Belgium could not go through for the team. Nevertheless, we already rode some nice races with the team. The atmosphere within the team is to be called really good and the faith in each other grows as the results are noticeable.

2. What are the main differences with previous years?

The past few years, my focus was on track cycling in the winter, so I only started riding on the road in April. Now I have been working all winter on my basis and I immediately started on the road with big races. This was a transition with the cold weather conditions, but I am finding my way back to better results.

3. Which element turned out more positive than expected?

Although some big races for Team3M could not go through, it was still great to be able to participate in the ‘3 daagse van West Vlaanderen’ and the ‘3 daagse van de Panne-Koksijde’. . They are very different races at a high level with a completely different atmosphere.

4. What is on the top of your list for improvements?

Michael Vingerling Since my focus was not on track cycling this last winter, I was able to form a good basis. This was very important towards this season. That difference is visible now, and is still improving. Moreover I will have to keep working on my sprint in order to be able to make the difference in the end or to second other Team3M cyclists in their sprint.

5. When would you call the 2013 season a success?

Personally I hope to ride in the 1.2/2.2 races some short time trials, preferably with some victories. In addition, I hope to be able to develop myself more in this team. Now that I, since this winter, have my focus on the road, I am sure that there is more in it for me.
