Another Podium for Team3M

Second place for Wouter Wippert in sprint

Second place for Wouter Wippert in sprint

Making progress possible, such is the motto of Team3M, the continental cycling team of the American multinational 3M. The team consists out of 17 riders in the continental team, and 16 riders in the ‘espoir’ team – who will ride for the first time in this peloton. And they are improving week by week!

On April 21st another great podium place was won, when Wouter Wippert obtained the 2nd place in the ‘Profronde van Noord Holland, through great effort by the whole team.

During the race, Team3M rider Joren Segers was part of a leading group, that remained with an advance of around one minute in front of the bunch. The escapees however, were caught up in the last 10 kilometers. Michael Vingerling then demonstrated once again that he can also sprint – at the last intermediate sprint, he came in 2nd place.

After that Team3M took the lead of the complete pack. For the final sprint Mike Terpstra and Michael Vingerling were able to launch Wouter Wippert. That was quite successful. In the final sprint Wouter was only beaten by Dylan Groenewegen.

It was – aside from an excellent final sprint - also a particularly good day for the whole selection, with – apart from the riders mentioned: Joop de Gans, Marius Bernatonis, Lewis Rigaux, and Jimmy Janssens working very hard as great Team-mates. Out of the 200 riders who participated, almost half of them had to step out of the race due to the high tempo (45km/h).

Team3M arrived at the finishing line complete after 207km - with all eight men on time. See the full results on the result page of the website.

Another great day for Team3M.
