Identification of parts, batch numbering, printing specifications or instructions for use, variable information applied by thermal transfer, laser toner or digital UV ink jet printing. 3M offers a versatile and comprehensive range of performance label materials designed for product identification where legibility of print and high adhesion of the label is critical for the life-time of the product.

Destructible security labels

3M Destructible Security Labels are a range of products which, when removal is attempted, fragment into tiny pieces, making removal in one piece virtually impossible.

These products show high adhesion and excellent destructibility on most smooth substrates, including metals, painted surfaces and low surface energy plastics.

Identification of a printed circuit

Resistant to high temperatures (up to 300°C) to identify the circuit throughout its production process.

3M high temperature resistant label material 3922 is recommended for the production of printed labels for thermal transfer applications where durability and high resistance to high temperatures are required.

Identification of computers

3M Polyester Label Materials 7871EC and 7872EC are used as barcode labels suitable for asset and warrenty labelling in harsh environments.

These products utilise 3M 350E adhesive designed to provide excellent adhesion to high and low surface energy plastics, metals, painted metals and powder coatings.

Identification of returnable plastic containers

3M Polyester Label Material 92200 incorporates 3M SE100 adhesive with high bond performance to composite materials including labelling of plastic containers, construction parts, injection moulding components and fibre-reinforced plastic compositions.

Protective overlaminating film

Protective overlaminating films are applied on labels to ensure strength and durability.

Labels will withstand stresses of outdoor environments, abrasion and UV exposure, maintaining perfect aesthetics of the brand thanks to the transparency of these protective films.
