Greencare chooses 3M CUNO’s Aqua-Pure filters for all watercoolers

Watercooler company Greencare H2O has switched to using 3M CUNO’s Aqua-Pure AP2 405 water filters for its entire range of coolers, quoting their quick-release heads, 0.5 micron filtration and compact design as main selection criteria and explaining that the company was “more confident” that 3M CUNO filters will do a good job in maintaining its ‘environmentally-friendly’ coolers.

"Since changing to Aqua Pure® we have virtually no customer problems,” added Operations Director David Albers. He also listed the “good name and reliable service” of 3M CUNO as other reasons for the company’s decision.

Greencare describes the Aqua-Pure “superior” filter’s silver impregnated bitumous carbon as filtering everything to less than one micron while also providing a bacteriostatic effect (non promotion of bacteria). They add that only one filter is required for all filtration, with the filters tested in accordance with NSF/ANSI standard 42 for particulate reduction and/or standard 53 for cyst, benzene, dichlorobenzene, toxaphene and turbidity reduction.

In simpler terms, the filters reduce sediment, chlorine taste and odour, lead, other heavy metal and some volatile organic compounds. Their quick and easy disconnecting system’s push-fit connector acts as an isolator stopping water flow and resulting in ‘no spill’ filter exchange.

3M CUNO adds that the Aqua-Pure AP2’s ‘Valve-in-Head’ design eliminates the need to externally shut off the water supply for cartridge changes the Sanitary Quick Change cartridge ensures clean as well as fast change-out.

A variety of proprietary carbon blocks is offered in the full range and the choice of capacities and micron ratings covers 6 inch or 8 inch blocks giving 3000 litre (800 gal) or 4000 litre (1100 gal) capacities in either 0.5 or 1 micron versions. The compact unit design saves space for internal or external installation, which is made quicker and easier by an integrated head/bracket and integrated fittings plus a choice of connectors.
