3M introduces filters for caravan drinking and cooking water

3M has developed its leading range of home and commercial filtration products for installation in caravans and motor homes, ensuring cleaner and better tasting drinking and cooking water despite supply variations from site to site.

Introduced at the National Boat, Caravan & Outdoor Show, NEC, Birmingham by UK distributor to caravan dealers, Grove Products, the availability of 3M water filters in do-it-yourself kit form for this market ensures clearer and great tasting water anywhere and anytime. They can be connected to the cold water supply line to the sink, and feature a built-in water shut-off valve. Filter cartridge replacement at the start of each season or after six months use is very easy - that’s six times more usage life than most competing products!

The filters give significant cost and storage/fridge space savings over bottled water, with a price of less than half a penny per litre of (based on RRP of £29.95 per replacement cartridge for 7500 litres flow) for 3M filtered water compared to a typical supermarket price of 40 pence per litre for multi-pack bottled water. The filters reduce 95% of chlorine, taste and odour and cut sediment, dirt, rust, sand and silt down to 5 microns, as well as having built-in bacteria inhibition.

The installation kit includes a filter head/bracket, model E1 cartridge, two 3/8in to 12mm JG fittings and two 3/8” to 12mm barbs, a sanitising plug and fitting instructions.
