Polishing
Apply small amount of 3M™ Fast Cut Plus Compound

Step 1

Apply small amount of 3M™ Fast Cut Plus to the panel. If using the new 3M™ Compounding Pad 50487, work compound into pad before applying to panel.

Place pad onto panel and start up rotary polisher

Step 2

Place pad onto panel and start up rotary polisher. Work a small area at a time. Reapplying compound when moving to a new area.

 
Use 3M™ Trizact™ Microfi nishing Abrasive Discs P3000

Step 3

Attach 3M™ High Gloss Polishing Pad 50488 to rotary polisher and apply 3M™ Perfect-it™ III Extra Fine Compound to the pad. Place pad onto panel and start up machine. Move across panel until high shine is seen.

 

Optional Swirl Mark Reduction


Shake the bottle and apply 3M™ Perfect-it III™ Ultrafina™ SE

Step 1

Shake the bottle and apply 3M™ Perfect-it III™ Ultrafina™ SE to the vehicle aiming to work half a square metre at a time.

Using 3M™ Perfect-it III™ Ultrafina™ SE high gloss polishing pad

Step 2

Using 3M™ Perfect-it III™ Ultrafina™ SE high gloss polishing pad 50388, start with medium pressure to remove swirls/ holograms, then less pressure to achieve best possible finish.

 
Product is designed to stay liquid in use

Step 3

NB: Product is designed to stay liquid in use; finally remove liquid residue using a 3M™ Perfect-it III™ Ultrafina™ Polishing Cloth.
