In our new video, we demonstrate the impressive properties of 3M Dyneon ETFE and show the advantages of the material, in particular when used in architectural applications in place of glass. The breaking strength of the material is tested by hockey players and you'll find out if a 0.2 mm thick ETFE film can hold a hockey puck. The video uses high-speed camera footage to bring the most important properties of ETFE to life. These include low weight and high tensile strength as well as excellent resistance to weathering and the lotus effect. The high transparency of ETFE foil, coupled with UV resistance and UV transmittance, make this material an advantageous alternative to glass in architecture. See for yourself!
