3M's Advanced Materials Division (AdMD), with its subsidiaries Dyneon GmbH and Dyneon B.V. in the fluoropolymer industry sector, is a worldwide leader in production, development and sales of fluoroelastomers, fluorothermoplastics, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and specialty additives, which are sold under the Dyneon™ and Dynamar™ brand. Fluoropolymers are used in a variety of industrial applications, such as oil & gas, chemical and petrochemical processing, automotive and aerospace or in the electric/electronics industries.

Because of the products‘ outstanding properties, like temperature and chemical resistance, electric insulation and flexibility, the security and lifetime of plants, machines and engines can be increased and a whole string of environmental protection measures are possible.

Dyneon GmbH was founded in 1996 and is part of the American group 3M. The company achieved a turnover in excess of €250 million in 2011. Dyneon GmbH employs around 560 people in Burgkirchen, Germany in the research, development, manufacture and marketing of fluoromonomers and fluoropolymers.
