Flat Seal & Gasket

In the chemical processing and food & beverage industry, Dyneon Fluoropolymers are used as flat flange or body gaskets proving excellence in sealing metal or glass pipes in many applications.

Thread Sealing Tape

The virgin Dyneon PTFE is the material of choice for unsintered thread sealant tapes. It permits quick, clean, economical sealing of male pipe threads and flanges of vessels reducing the risk of system contamination. The tape is wrapped around the exposed threads of a pipe. It is used in pressurized water systems, such as central heating systems, as well as in air compression equipment and joint with coarse threads. The PTFE tape has a lubricating function, which more easily allows the threads to be screwed together to the point of deformation, which creates the seal.
The sealing tape is available in different colours for colour-coded pipelines, e.g. for natural gas, oxygen, water, etc.

Wire & Cable Insulation

Due to their outstanding property profile, PTFE yarns are used for diverse filtration applications under aggressive conditions in the CPI sector, in power plants, in waste incineration as well as biomass and pyrolysis plants.

Expansion Joint

The handling of highly corrosive flue gases like humid SO2, SO3, HCl and HF in fossil fuel power plants and waste incineration plants requires corrosion protection of carbon steel parts, especially where temperatures are at or below the dew point. These conditions are specifically challenging in the flue gas ducts. To compensate for the thermal expansion of the ducts equally corrosion resistant expansion joints are required: Fluoroelastomers are established products for these conditions.

Expanded Membrane

Expanded membranes based on Dyneon PTFE separate liquid from gaseous phases. This unique property opened a new market for PTFE – besides many industrial applications it is used in protective yet breathable clothing. In the chemical industry these membranes are typically used as filter media for purification processes.
