3M™ Dyneon™ Fluoropolymers can be processed into films and sheets of various thicknesses, from down to a few micrometres only up to several millimetres, as the applications require it. These films and sheets are being used as release liners, for architectural applications, corrosion protection or in solar applications - just to highlight a few.
For extreme thermal and chemical resistance, electrical insulation requirements, or a combination of these properties, films skived from sintered PTFE billets produced from 3M™ Dyneon™ PTFE or 3M™ Dyneon™ PTFE Compounds are selected for a broad variety of applications in industry today. They are most commonly used in sealing and lining applications.
Thin films of 3M™ Dyneon™ Fluoropolymers are accessible via thermoplastic film extrusion for a variety of applications where just a thin layer of a 3M™ Dyneon™ Fluoropolymers film provides the expected benefit, e.g. outstanding weatherability and toughness. Applications include a variety of uses like architectural films, release liners, security glass, or solar panels.
