Sea water, raw water and waste water are often transported over long distances by use of large steel pipelines and locally by concrete channels. Typical applications include power stations, desalination plants and water treatment plants. The water to be transported can be very corrosive and a specifically designed internal lining is therefore required in order to provide long-term corrosion protection even in immersed service.
