With in excess of six hundred company-owned retail stores and a further network of non-exclusive retail agents, AVEA, the well-known mobile and GSM operator company in Turkey had a significant challenge on its hands when it decided to update, not only their corporate visual identity, but also their interior branding and point of purchase merchandising. Detailed research and analysis concerning their customer’s journey of their brand, revealed some key objectives for Vice-President of Sales, Ali Yilmaz.
Firstly, there was need to simplify the product segmentation in-store so that customers could more easily find what they were looking for; and, secondly, to create a suitable environment in the sales area, where potential buyers and salespeople can meet.
Mr Yilmaz connected directly with the 3M team in Istanbul and consultative meetings took place regarding the requirements for materials – colour, brightness, availability, standardisation etc.
Samples were provided and tested, then piloted and prototyped between 3M, AVEA and 3M approved graphic converters.
A final specification proposal fully warranted, was developed by the 3M team for AVEA using two mid-life digital inkjet films with chemically compatible inks, hardware and protective overlaminates to protect against wear and tear.
