Stadler Bussnang brands their SBB Dosto trains with new anti-graffiti identity in record time!

3M™ Scotchcal™ film and laminate solutions were specified in three primary colours for the press launch of the new SBB Dosto train at Zurich Station.

3M partner, Antalis/De Vita Design worked closely with 3M Switzerland to develop a special brand identity solution for the external rail carriage livery for SBB Dosto. The three primary colours, red, blue and yellow were matched in custom coloured self-adhesive films at the 3M Colour Lab in Germany, before being approved by Stadler Rail. To protect against the threat of paint or other forms of grafitti, the durable, warranted, 3M™ Scotchcal™ Electocut ™ Graphic Marking Films series 100, were over-laminated with a 3M™ Scotchcal ™ anti-graffiti laminate, specially developed for public transport applications.

As deadlines were extremely tight, the colour matching, specification, manufacturing, conversion and application process for the six carriages of the first two trains had to be effectively organised by 3M and their partner. The Press conference was a success, and entire rail carriage fleet will be liveried over the next four years.
