KT Corporation’s launch of their new ‘Olleh’ app store and wi-fi zone brand, designed to further capitalise on the take-up of the smart phone in South Korea, stays with the twin primary corporate colours of red, signifying innovation and passion, and black, signifying legitimacy and trust and utilises durable cast translucent red film in the form of 3M™ Scotchcal™ 3630-43 Tomato Red, together with a 3630-20 matte white. The black ‘Olleh’ lettering by day is created by a custom Block out colour, 3635-0183 and the entire fascia uses 3M™ Panaplus™ flexible sign face substrate.
With over two thousand retail branches to be signed in a short period of time, KT required a sign face system that was easy to build, install, would last a long time in good condition, would be economical to illuminate and would be brand consistent across all sites and would be backed by a guarantee. KT chose to work with the 3M team in Seoul on the programme.
