On June 22nd, 2011 3M opened two brand new factories producing goods for the aerospace and automotive industries. The new Wrocław based plants will employ over 100 people.
On June 8th 2011 3M announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Advanced Chemistry & Technology Inc., a manufacturer of quick cure, light-weight polysulfide sealants for aerospace applications. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
